1973 - 1977 Assistant at the University of Mainz;

1977 - 1979 Dozent at the University of Heidelberg;
1979 - 1994 Professor (C2) at the Free University of Berlin
since 1994 Professor at the Martin-Luther University of Halle (Department of Mathematics)  (Chair for Algebra)
